Members Helping Members Scholarship
Are you a graduating senior?
The PALCO Federal Credit Union’s Members Helping Member scholarship was named in honor of the credit union philosophy of “people helping people”. PALCO’s Scholarship Committee will award scholarships of $1,000 each to two applicants that exemplify the credit union philosophy; through volunteerism, community service, leadership & academic achievements. Application Requirements:
- Follow completed application
- Write an essay, complete with at least 250 words but no more than 750 words on the following:
- What distinguishes PALCO from other financial institutions?
- What are your career goals and how do you plan to achieve them?
- What has influenced your career decisions?
- A character reference letter from a teacher, counselor, or community leader
- Letter of acceptance from the university you will be attending
- Current high school transcript
- Must be a graduating high school senior entering an accredited college, university, or other recognized institution of higher learning full time in the 2024 school year.
- Must be a member in good standing with PALCO Federal Credit Union for six months or more
- Application and all other requirements are due no later than April 19th, 2024.

2023 $1,000 Scholarship Winners:
Lillian Shoemaker- Attending Pennsylvania College of Technology in the fall of 2023 to pursue a degree in Biomedical Science.
John Ebert - Attending Penn State University in the fall of 2023 to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
